RELATIONSHIPS
You want a safe and welcoming place for you and your children to make connections within a community.
Our small group environment allows for relationships to be formed and fostered over time. A low adult:child ratio that allows us to help students learn communication skills and how to navigate conflicts and reconnect afterwards. Parents also connect with each other, adding the option of fun activities with friends outside of our meeting times.
EXPERIENCED SUPPORT
You want your children to be with mature, experienced instructors.
Your children will be with experienced parents that understand child behavior and development, character development, the importance of building good habits, how to teach communication skills, and promote kindness and respect - all while having fun and learning!
INDIVIDUAL SUCCESS
You want a place where students master each concept prior to moving forward and can go as quickly or slowly as needed for their mastery and understanding.
We prioritize mastery and understanding on our concept path for Core Academics. Each student progresses academically on an individual basis without leaving their developmentally appropriate age group. In other words, your advanced child can continue to advance in any subject while remaining in their age group and your child that needs more time to master concepts is also able to do so within their age group.
ACADEMIC MASTERY
You want your student to be proficient in Math and Language Arts.
Mastery and understanding are our priority rather than fitting a child to a curriculum or grade level. Our students have all the tools they need to understand as well as practice using concepts in real life applications.
CHARLOTTE MASON
You want to incorporate Charlotte Mason philosophies into your child’s educational experience.
Charlotte Mason is one of the most influential educational figures, with a huge following and the foundation of many curricula and parenting materials. We provide good literature, character building, relational teaching, art, handicrafts, history, and geography, as well as age appropriate lessons times, individual pacing, outdoor activities, nature study, and intertwining subjects rather than teaching each separately.
RELAXED SETTING
You want a relaxed, stress-free setting for learning.
We know that when people are comfortable and happy, the brain is open to learning. We provide a home setting with a basic daily routine to offer security as students know what to expect each time they are here.
HEALTH & WELLNESS
You want a healthy environment for your child.
We do all we can to keep our environment free of toxic chemicals and toxic attitudes. Our cleaning supplies are free of hormone disrupting and toxic ingredients known to cause har to pets and people. We also prioritize kind and open communication, allowing freedom to express thoughts or experience feelings within the boundary of not hurting others or disrupting others’ learning.
CHILDHOOD
You want a space where childhood is protected.
We protect childhood innocence by limiting exposure to developmentally appropriate topics as well as providing quality literature and critical thinking opportunities. We ask families to commit to maintaining a “G-rated” standard in general so as to allow conversations and interest to reflect age appropriateness. We also take the added step of providing an enriched environment in which critical thinking, reading, discussion, and activities are the bulk of our day.
NO BOOK OR SUPPLY LIST
You want all the supplies, books, and curriculum to be provided.
We do the research, shopping, gathering, ordering, and curriculum purchasing. You will not be given any shopping lists and your donation covers all of the supplies needed for your family’s participation days.
NO ON-SITE PARENT REQUIREMENT
You want lessons and accountability support.
We provide lessons and tutoring necessary for students to understand and master Core Academics such as Math, Handwriting, Reading, Grammar, Creative Expression, and Writing.
We provide any assessments, tutoring, grading, accountability, and assignments for the subjects in which your child/ren are participating. There are no projects, instruction, or homework in which you need to organize, gather supplies, implement, grade, or teach at home.
