Worldview
I understand that Learning Lighthouse uses curriculum that has mention of the Bible in literature, history, civics, science, and possibly other areas of study. As part of their education, each student will be taught how our country was created and facts that are backed up by archaelogy and historic primary source documents. We don't get into particular doctrines or man made religious rules or content and anyone that is comfortable in our setting for their child's educational needs and is okay with this statement can be considered for membership. (1 required) |

Parental Commitment to Protect Childhood
Our families are exercising their freedom to educate in an environment they choose so we ask for certain boundaries to be respected by all.
We ask that families are conscientious about influences you expose/allow in relation to developmentally appropriate media.
I can commit to myself and my child/ren keeping the environment G-rated in participation of multi-level Learning Lighthouse group gatherings.
Please see our Handbook if you have questions about this. (1 required) |

Annual Time & Financial Support
I understand that all Partner Positions make a combined finance and hourly serving pledge.
Your financial pledge will depend on the participation you wish your student/s to benefit from for the year. Membership Participation
Most positions are scheduled for the 31 weeks of our August - May school year while monthly support is scheduled for a total of 12 months per family.
Youth (ages 14 - 17) are paid $8.50/hour and usually serve under the supervision of an adult. Youth Helpers perform the duty of watching over younger children, helping them with their work, their lunch, cleaning up, and with any other help that may come up in class meetings or during lunch and recess. Youth typically support a lead teacher and have no lesson planning or supply gathering responsibility.
Assistant: An assistant supports Administration or a Lead Teacher. Admin support may include tasks like organizing, cleaning, shopping, sorting, gathering, etc. Supporting a Lead Teacher may include tasks like helping children during a lesson so the Teacher may continue teaching, helping students with practice or completion of a project or lesson.
Lead Teacher: A Lead Teacher plans and implements lessons, gathers supplies or gives a dated supply list to administration at the beginning of each semester, helps students with accountability, understanding and mastery of materials, provides instruction, practice, and reinforcement as needed for student to understand and master material for the class. |
