Learning Lighthouse is a refuge for families that understand the value of relational and individualized education and preserving childhood. We believe in the power of community and collaboration to enrich the educational experience for all members.
Homeschool Co-op Micro-School
We are the original co-op micro-school - or as we call it, Homeschool Schoolhouse, in the DFW Mid-Cities area.
Learning Lighthouse is a place where kids can relax and enjoy their learning experience
within a multi-age, homeschool setting and parents can contribute time, energy, and/or finances to support the ministry.

Learning Lighthouse was created to provide hands-on, interactive lessons for core and enrichment subjects, individualized lessons for core subjects, and fellowship for families in a stress-free educational setting that supports home educated students and their parents.

Co-op Families serve by pledging their time in vital roles that offset up to 75% of the cost of attendance. We need teachers, cleaning, organizing, fundraisers, event planning, bookkeeping, tutors, recess support, etc Co-op Application
K - 8 Enrichment is the umbrella for Science, History, Art, PE, ASL, Presentation Skills, and Seasonal Activities.
Elementary Core Academics include the Basics of arithmetic, handwriting, phonics/spelling, grammar, reading and creative expression with a focus on understanding and mastery. Each student is given individualized math and language lessons and tutoring to ensure progress and retention.
Middle School Core Academics combine a rotation of literature and writing, grammar and vocabulary, and individualized math lessons. Discussion, presentations, writing, interactive practice of concepts, and fun challenges are used to hone skills and get ready for high school.
High School Core Academic students use projects, discussion, writing, presentations, activities, and literary analysis to practice critical thinking and hone verbal and written communication skills.
High School Electives are varied and personalized to the student but can include Fine Arts, Creative Arts, PE, ASL, Practical Skills, and more.
