What are the school year dates?

Answer

Classes are held weekly for 30 weeks from August through May with breaks.

Which days and hours does Learning Lighthouse meet?

Answer

We meet on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:30am - 2:00pm.

There are also additional meeting days and times for Field Trips, Fundraisers, and Mom's Night Out events and these will be on the Calendar.

Enrichment

Question

What is Enrichment Day?

Answer

Enrichment Day is a weekly activity day for Elementary and Middle School. Subjects we cover are Science, Art, Strategy Games/Logic, PE/Health, Seasonal activities/parties, and a rotation of other options such as Cooking, ASL, Gymnastics, or Coding depending on student choice and/or instructor availability.

Elementary

What subjects are available for Elementary?

Answer

Elementary students will receive individualized lessons in Math, Spelling/Phonics, Reading, Literature, Grammar, Writing, and Handwriting. 

Fine motor skills, social skills, math facts, memory work, and critical thinking are also a part of our process through the year.

Elementary students also participate in our weekly Enrichment Day for Science, Art, PE/Recess, ASL, Strategy Games. Presentation Skills. and seasonal activities

Middle School

Question

What subjects are available for Middle School students?

Answer

We have our Expedition Learning Circle for ages 12 - 14 years.  Students will participate in lessons and practice in our Math Lab, Language Arts Lab, weekly Enrichment Day, and cover the folllowing subjects; Math, Science, Writing, Grammar, Vocabulary, Literary Analysis, World Cultures and Geography, Science, ASL, Art, PE, Pratical Skills, Critical Thinking, and Presentation Skills.

High School

What credit classes do you offer for High School?

Answer

High School students can earn Transcript credit for Math, Logic, English, History, and Science, in addition to a rotation of electives.

How can I join Legacy Harbor and participate in Learning Lighthouse activities?

Answer

Legacy Harbor is a private organization and has a membership process. You can connect with us to start the process with an email, text, or phone conversation.

Is there a cost to join?

Answer

Participation is limited to members and is funded by donations from member families and others.

SY 2026 - 2027 Annual Family Membership $1000

Benefits of membership include access to our resource library, digital lessons and practice for math, phonics, spelliing, typing, education and family-friendly audiobooks, ebooks, and videos, on-site resource library of books, curriculum, education games and manipulatives, reading schedules for history, English, and literature studies. Also included in membership is access to Learning Lighthouse, our education ministry.

We have a weekly Study Group, Enrichment Day, a la carte Credit Course for High School students and a full program for students to attend and cover all of your subjects each week.

Classes and attendance costs range from $100 - $4000 annually per student

How can I connect with the community?

Answer

We encourage you to plan to stay for Park Day at least once per week at pick-up.  We also have Field Trips, FUNdraisers, Mom's Night Out, and our Conversations in the Member App allow you to connect for inviting friends to do activities, for birthday invites, and more.
