Learning Lighthouse was created to provide hands-on, interactive lessons for core and enrichment subjects, individualized lessons for core subjects, and fellowship for families in a stress-free educational setting that supports students and parents.
Subjects
Math Path
Math is taught and paced individually according to a student's ability,
prior knowledge, learning style and experience.
Each student is assessed to determine where to start on our "Math Path".
Number Sense / Addition / Subtraction
Time / Money / Geometry / Measurement
Area / Perimeter / Multiplication / Division
Fractions / Decimals / Percents / Pre-Algebra
Algebra, Geometry, Consumer Math/Stewardship,
Bookkeeping, Business, and more.
Language Path
Language is literature-based and taught with a focus on wisdom,
understanding, and communication skills.
Games, activities, and other interactive methods are used to increase
understanding and retention.
Phonics, Reading, Handwriting, Story-telling, Reporting,
Parts of Speech, Sentences
Spelling, Vocabulary, Literature, Cursive, Creative Writing,
Reporting, Narration, Grammar, Paragraphs

K - 8 Enrichment
Enrichment for Elementary and Middle School is based on
History in the Fall and Science in the Spring.
Using these topics, students will complete hands-on lessons and activities
that can include art, crafts, science experiments,
biography reports, dramatizations, music, vocabulary,
historical facts and people, geography,
and more as part of our Enrichment program.
Other subjects on rotation are Fine Art, Practical Skills,
Critical Thinking, Seasonal Activities, PE, Drama,
American Sign Language, Strategy Games,
Show & Tell, Presentation Skills, Gymnastics,
Dance, Sewing, or Cooking.

Students complete labs and other activities here and complete
reading and research or study at home.
